Clickable CSS Divs

When web designing there are times when you really want to be able to make an area have a link. Here is a tutorial on how turn a background into a clickable link. This is very useful when you have the image embedded into the CSS code.

jQuery Slideshows

There are a lot of jQuery slideshows out there. I tend to vary in the ones that I use. One that I found to be really great if you're just starting out is the Nivo Slider: http://bit.ly/NivoSlider. It's completely open source!

Getting text plain

Have you ever gotten really frustrated when strange characters are inserted into your web page text? That's usually because it needs to be in plain text. I've found a wonderful resource that let's you paste your text from word and it will convert it into plain text. Perfect for when you need to put text into a database. Floating Images

Ever wonder how to get the text to wrap around a picture? Tizag.com has a tutorial is designed to help you float your images using CSS. This also is helpful when learning how to make an image class for borders, etc: http://bit.ly/floatingImages.

CSS Container and Drop Shadow

Though this video from tutvid.com is for learning how to do a drop shadow around your DIVs in CSS, I actually found that it was perfect for learning how to do a container DIV: http://bit.ly/DivShadows.

Navigation Bar
